Get in the Halloween Spirit with a Monster Movie Marathon

Can’t get enough of Halloween? Enjoy a whole month of screams at Franklin Public Library’s Classic Monster Movie Marathon. Every Wednesday at 6:30pm in October one of Hollywood’s most beloved (and terrifying) monsters will appear on the screen in the Fadrow Room. The format is drive-in style, so bring a blanket and some snacks and join us if you dare for a frightening good scare!
October 5: Frankenstein (1931). An obsessed scientist, Henry Frankenstein, assembles a living being from parts of exhumed corpses. Little does he know that he gave the monster a murderer’s brain!
October 12: Dracula (1931). An estate agent travels to Transylvania to complete a transaction with Count Dracula, a vampire. Soon, he becomes his unwilling servant and they travel to England, where Dracula spreads his curse. It's left to Professor Van Helsing to stop the spread of his evil.
October 19: King Kong (1933). A film crew goes to a tropical island for an exotic location shoot and discovers a colossal giant gorilla who takes a shine to their female blonde star.
October 26: The Wolf Man (1941). A practical man returns to his homeland, is attacked by a creature of folklore, and infected with a horrific disease his disciplined mind tells him cannot possibly exist…
