Children's Area Redesign
The Franklin Public Library Foundation is helping the library bring a safer and more accessible Children's Area to life. New features will include lower shelves for increased visibility, a design that is inclusive and accessible to all children, Baby Garden, Tween Lounge and many other fun play features to promote a lifelong love of reading and learning. This redesign is 100% donor funded.

Naming rights are available - Please contact the Library Director, Jennifer Loeffel, for more information.

The History and Folklore of Halloween
Join us Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6:30pm when popular paranormal researcher and speaker Chad Lewis returns with a program that looks at the origins our of holiday celebrations: From trick-or-treating, scarecrows, and jack- o'-lanterns, to the folklore of bats, witches, and everything that lurks in the darkness.

Monday Movie Matinee -- Project Hail Mary
Join us Oct. 19 at 1pm for the Monday Movie Matinee showing of Project Hail Mary.

Science teacher Ryland Grace (played by Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from Earth with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. This psychological thriller from 1962 is the story of two aging sisters, former child star Baby Jane Hudson and her wheelchair-bound sister Blanche, whose bitter rivalry turns into a disturbing struggle for control and revenge in their life together in a dilapidated Hollywood mansion. The Franklin Public Library Pop Culture Fandom Art Contest has been cancelled due to low participation. The art contest gallery night scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 1 from 6-8pm is also cancelled.
