This 1987 fantasy tale from director Rob Reiner starts with a visit from a grandfather (Peter Falk) to read to his sick grandson (Fred Savage). Grandpa’s tale transports the boy and the audience into a tale of a swashbuckling farmhand named Westley (Cary Elwes), accompanied by companions befriended along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright) from the odious Prince Humperdinck.
